Bring Advanced Manufacturing Jobs to Canada

Bring Advanced Manufacturing Jobs to Canada

We are in the midst of an economic crisis brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.

To address this crisis we need bold leadership and bold action.

We are seeing neither from Justin Trudeau’s Liberal government. With our economy in tatters, we need to concentrate our efforts and focus our spending to create economic growth, jobs and prosperity for Canadians.

It’s easy to write cheques. But spending money with no long-term plan leaves nothing to show for that money once it’s gone. It will take leadership and vision to rebuild our economy.

I have a plan to do that, the Jobs Plan for Canada.

Part of my eight-point Economic Recovery Plan will implement policies to bring advanced manufacturing jobs to Canada and reinvigorate our supply chain for essential goods.

We will help to bring manufacturing and technology jobs to Canada by allowing employers a 100% write off of equipment costs to encourage them to invest in Canada.

This crisis has exposed a vulnerability in our supply of essential goods. We have lost too much of our manufacturing base. My plan will ensure essential goods are made in Canada, bringing our supply chains back home.

We will provide training support for manufacturing jobs that increasingly require technology skills.

And we will create the conditions to repatriate jobs and industries that left Canada because of excessive red-tape and anti-growth policies.

We are facing a serious challenge and many of our citizens are hurting.

Canadians have faced serious challenges before. And we have met them.

We will meet this challenge as well. But it will take leadership, faith in our abilities as Canadians and a vision for where we will go in the future.

A Conservative government that I lead will get Canada back on track.

My eight-point Jobs Plan for Canada will help us come out of COVID-19 stronger than ever.

  • 100% capital cost allowance write-offs for all purchases of manufacturing and technology equipment over the next two years
  • Essential goods to be made in Canada bringing our supply chains home to Canada
  • Training support for manufacturing jobs that increasingly require technology skills
  • Provide the conditions that will repatriate jobs and industries that left Canada because of excessive red-tape and anti-growth policies

Do you agree or disagree with Peter that we should allow 100% capital cost allowance write offs for all manufacturing and technology equipment to encourage investment in Canada?
